Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.
MusicAmong the many blessings God has granted our church is an abundance of beautiful music and talented musicians that share their gifts to benefit our worship services. At the 8:30 contemporary/praise service, you'll enjoy upbeat praise songs accompanied by the praise band and several praise singers. If you choose to attend the 11:00 AM traditional service, you can expect many of your favorite hymns and anthems sung by the Chancel Choir. If you have questions or would like more information, contact Joel Foreman (360-2713) about the praise service, and contact the church office (895-6286) about the traditional service.
Mount Vernon United Methodist is blessed with two youth choirs. Metholarks features the talents of our elementary aged singers, while Christian Spirit Singers features junior high and high schoolers. These choirs are under the direction of Doralyn Bigalow. For more specific information pertaining to these groups, read the lastest Musical Musings newsletter.
Adult and Youth bell choirs add to our worship as well. The Youth Handbells are directed by Doralyn Bigalow, and the Adult Handbell Choir is directed by Kristi Keast.
